omg, my kids might become gay

J.K. Rowling said that she believes Dumbledore is gay. Of course, the media is in an uproar over this. Parents are concerned. But why? The fact the author says so doesn’t mean its in the book. As far as I know, anyone reading the novels could not infer Dumbledore’s sexual orientation. People really need to lighten up. All I see is a bunch of homophobes with something new to complain about.

Hey, Music Junkies: Help Me Make Sense of This

The weekend NY Times printed this graphic (click on the graphic link at the left) about the McCarren Pool concerts in Brooklyn, and I have to say, I’m confused.

I showed it to a friend and he immediately said, “that is so overcreative.” I then jotted a few notes in the side column of the paper: “an accounting of obsessive self-awareness” was one; “a bunch of pretty colors” another; etc.

Can someone help me make sense of this … thing? Am I missing something? Am I turning into a crotchety old dude, or I am accurate in thinking the whole thing is a tad stupid?
